BMW X5 Correction & Beeds Coating

    X5 Correction & Coating

This is the second car I’ve done for this client, he was the one with the Marauder I posted a couple weeks ago.

I’ve never done a BMW before this, but I had always heard about how hard their paint was. I was not expecting it to be this hard though. I was able to one step this car with FG400 & M105 in some spots and not be left with any micromarring.

Besides the frustration of hard paint, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Typical correction work and I applied Beeds HD to the paint afterwards. It was just a big car; luckily I had the majority of the weekend to work on it. I didn’t document it as fully as I’d like, but again, it was a big car.

Great work! Did you try a Rupes blue pad with the corresponding polish? What did you use for a test spot? I`m looking to get an X5 for my wife with the diesel engine. I`ve got a 335d and the engine is outstanding. I hate the leather seats in those cars. The leather looks and feels like hard vinyl. I`ve tried everything to soften up the leather, nothing works.

    Thanks!

I did not, because I don`t have any stronger Rupes pads then the yellow ones :/

I started with Essence and a yellow pad, then tried meguiars microfiber cutting pads...they didn`t cut enough. Had to step up to a proper compound.

I actually found the leather to be really nice and soft, especially after hitting it with Inside.

    Nice work!
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
