    2010 Lexus 250 Hybrid

This car belongs to my neighbour. I did it 3 years ago and it was now due again. Here it is as it arrived:

So you can see the scratches in it and the hood had some decent swirls, although it was difficult to capture in the late day sun. First up was the wheels. The barrels were cleaned with Tarminator followed by Zep Citrus and Megs HW. The faces were cleaned with Zep Citrus and Megs HW. The tires were cleaned with Zep 505 (twice) and the wells were cleaned with LATA. I shot the barrels with Aqua Bead for protection.

The car was then washed with Megs HW followed by a decontamination wash of IronX paste. It was then brought inside and clayed with a clay towel. The front of this car as well as some other sections had been wrapped, so I wasn`t going to be polishing those surfaces. The hood was wrapped about 1/3 of the way up. I had a heck of a time finding the magic combo for this car. TB + M100 was too aggressive. MF pads dulled the surface. What ended up working quite well actually was the TB black wool + Sonus Perfect Finish. This poor bottle resides in the back of my cabinet. It earned its way to the front on this car! Some of the deeper scratches needed a 2nd or 3rd pass, but most were taken care of in one run. This was followed up with CarPro Gloss pad + M205 (worked better than Essence on this car) + Flex 3401. (Flex used on 1st stage too, other than the mf attempt). Numerous paint chip were filled and then the car got a double coat of CQuartz (original) to the paint, head and tail lights and all glass except for the windshield. The trim got treated to DLux. The tires were shot with Opti Bond via my air gun. Here`s how she looked at the end. It was late in the day with fading sun.

This is your house on acid....

A car bearing down on me:

They were thrilled with how it came out and I was loving the wetness the black obtained. Comments are always appreciated.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
