    Solution Finish to the rescue

Finally had some time to pull off the windshield cowl on my GTO and restore it using Solution Finish.

Prepped it with APC and some IPA. I then applied it with a black foam brush. After letting it sit a few minutes I wipped off the residue. Very happy with the results.

If the plastic is badly sun faded (grey to white), leave the solution on for an hour to let it soak in better. Repeat application later that day or following to get a deeper black finish.

What is your experience with the duration of the product? I am looking for something that restores the black color to trim, but everything I`ve used fades in a month or so.

^^^^^This! I have always used Dlux and has held up for over a year in the Texas sun. What kind of durability is expected with Solution finish?

You may want to use a heat gun to restore the sun Faded black plastics also. sounds strange but it works. did it to my x terra and it looked factory fresh.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
