After a bout with Ultimate Quik Wax ...

Since I just washed the car yesterday, I used UQD to clean off any dust that was lying on the surface. Then using the UQW, I misted it on a panel and spread it around with a clean, MF (I gave the mf a few spritzes of UQW before starting) and spread it around on the panel, making sure I got complete coverage. I went from panel to panel without buffing off the haze/residue until I finished the entire car. Then taking a new, clean mf, I buffed the car panel by panel until the haze was gone, going in the in the same direction around the car as I did applying it. Once I had removed all the excess UQW, I buffed the windows with the application towel without adding any more UQW, then buffed them again with the dry towel. Then I sat back for an hour or so to let it `set up` a bit before taking pictures. Sorry for the quality of the pics, they were taken with my neighbor`s camera-phone. I wish the sun had been out, but as you can see in some of the reflections, it is a pretty cloudy day ...

    So, what do you think?

UQW is one of those products that I keep forgetting is SO good. Good drying aid and stand-alone.

I had some major issues, like heavy clouding and showing where the water droplets were on the paint when I tried using it as a drying aid. It basically made one heck of a mess that wouldn`t buff off (I had threads going on MOL and AG to try and figure it out), so I think I`ll keep it as a stand alone for after I`ve dried the car or used UQD first.

I haven`t tried mine yet, but probably will soon. I`m hoping that it proves to be Accumulator-proof when used as a drying-aid...plan to blow off most of the water first with the AirWand.

I think that might have been my problem, I didn`t sheet or blow the water off the car before using the UQW, so there was a massive amount of water on the car (at least the tops-roof-hood-trunk) and not so much on the sides, where I didn`t have a real problem since most of the water on the sides had rolled off or evaporated before I could get to it.

Don- Ah, OK...I`ll keep that in mind and be sure to get most of the water off (that vehicle really retains water, so the heads-up is appreciated).
