Dodge Hellcat Paint Correction and CQuartz Finest - Xclusive Autoworks Long Island, NY

As excited owners begin taking delivery of their 700hp Dodge Hellcats, us detailer`s are beginning to have our work cut out for us. These cars are fast, they are aggressive, but they are beautiful when detailed properly. My client found me prior to breaking the 1000 mile mark on his Hellcat. The client wanted a glossy finish that will last him for years, he wanted something that was super easy to maintain, and most importantly he wanted the best service. This particular car might be a little repulsive to a professional detailer. The car was never "detailed" after delivery, this was how the car was delivered. I scheduled the client in for a proper paint correction (What is paint correction?) detail along with a CQuartz Finest application. Luckily he found me, Xclusive Autoworks, a proper and educated paint correction specialist who can take care of the job.


I was extremely excited to begin work and get the car coated, but first there was a lot of paint correction required.



As you can see here, prior to paint correction there were a lot of swirls and marks from improper wiping. This type of damage cannot be seen under normal shop lights and requires proper and focused lighting (such as the sun).



And here we have it. The dealership special. This is the type of holograms caused by improper finishing on a rotary polisher. This Hellcat only had 700 miles mind you.



After making progress on the paint correction for a few days, I began the ceramic coating installation. The latest formulation CQuartz Finest works best when applied in 3 layers with 30 minute intervals. After applying Finest, I prefer to cure and bake each panel at 145 degrees for 15 minutes. This ensures proper bonding and curing before releasing the vehicle to my client.



And of course, the necessary sun shot. Sorry, this was taken on my cell phone and a lot of quality was lost.






And there you have it. A brand new Dodge Hellcat that required nearly 20 hours of paint correction and polishing. Once the car was perfect, just as it deserves to be, I applied CQuartz Finest to the entire exterior along with the following coatings:


Interior: CQuartz Leather Coating
Carpet: CQuartz Fabric Coating
Glass: CQuartz FlyByForte Glass Coating
Wheels: CQuartz Finest
