Hello everyone! I present a cool car - a Fiat Barchetta. This vehicle belongs to a very long time client and friend. He loves old and rare imported vehicles. In fact the first car he brought me was a Lancia Thema 8.32! This Fiat was purchased from a local importer here in Toronto. With the previous detail I had performed for him years ago, he knew this car would need a good paint correction. Luckily for him, coatings are here and their benefits are impossible to ignore. He wanted the best and I was happy to provide

Anyhow, let`s get down to business, shall we?

The car showed up pretty clean considering he drove it down a dirt road on the way to me, and the paint had a `decent` shine to it.

Vehicle was prepped with the following:
    - CarPro IronX Snow Soap + CarPro Merino Wool Wash Mitt
    - Ultima Waterless Wash + CarPro PolyShave Decon block
    - IronX + Lake Country Grout Sponge to spread IronX over paint and provide a slight amount of agitation for added effect of IronX

Wheels were cleaned using IronX and Wheel Woolies. Tires cleaned with 3D/HD APC and a tire brush. Immediately following this cleaning, the wheels were treated to Hydro2.

Moving on to the paint...lets have a look at what we`re dealing with...

Ummm...not so pretty! Thankfully the paint corrected quite easily. I used D300 on a white 5" Lake Country White pad to cut (using Rupes 21) and it left the finish essentially perfect and LSP ready after 2 passes. Following pics are after said steps:

After all the cutting, I followed up with the amazing Reflect! Look at this clarity:

After this, I polished the glass with M205 on a MFFP and gave the car a thorough wipedown with Eraser. The paint received 3 thick coats of Finest and the glass received FlyBy30. PERL on the tires and P21S Finish Restorer on the exhaust tip. Unfortunately the grille by the hood was metal and needs to be repainted at some point, so it looks unfinished in the pictures (didn`t realize how bad it stood out till I put the photos on my computer).

    Here are the finals:

When I delivered the car to him, I told him it`s going to be pretty amazing at how easy it is to wash the car from now on. When he washed it for the first time after a month, he messaged me saying "Washed the fiat for the first time yesterday. Holy. You are so right. Kinda freaked me out"

Thanks for looking! Questions and comments are welcome, as always!

Great work! And awesome car. Question...can I ask what sort of flashlight you are using to highlight defects in one or two of your photos??

`Thank you! TO answer your question, I am using the Rupes Pen light
    `
Thanks very much! Finest really transformed the gloss and took it to another level. The client was with me while I was applying the coating and he could notice it too.
