Recently completed job, a few month old C7 Stingray in for defect removal and coating with wheels off cleaning as well. Being new the finish in most areas was pretty good however there were defects and the wheels with the super soft gloss black finish were tore up(The owner informed me on the Corvette forums this is a sore subject and he might in the future take the wheels and have them re-sprayed to the dark grey metallic finish the accents on the car are). Even though he did not make it in any of the pics, Daniel from Car Connoisseur helped me on the latter part of this vehicle and others that week with his help much appreciated as I am swamped.

Upon arrival, recently driven in the rain.

Corvettes are transported by rail, and the rail dust/particulate needed to be removed.

    Wheels removed.

The soft paint was a real issue, the inner barrels and spoke had not been marred to terribly but the face of the wheels..........................

    Protection evident.

Cleaned up the brackish water in the wells.

    Calipers coated.

    With the deep marring.........

Combo of machine and hand correction needed.

    Getting better, many passes needed.

    Coming back to life.

As mentioned, there were a few places where some compounding was needed. Rear hatch topside was one of them.

    Leveling the defects.

Some deep RIDS on the drivers door.

    After correction.

    More defects.

    Making it all better.

Underside of diffuser with hard water etch.

    Clarity restored.

    Coming together nicely.

Engine bay with the water spot etch.

    General dustiness.

    With the cleaness.

    MUCH improved interior Chevy.

    Punisher....................Bowtie style.

    Looking good.

    Sun pic time.

    Mr. Willis,

    `

Astonishing job on the wheels and the same adjective describes your completed process on that C7!

    `

Can you comment on the paint on the passengers front fender... to the top-right of the black louver and to the top-left of the Stingray emblem; in the sun shots? `It `appears` the texture of the base color or primer/ e-coat is a bit `off` from the rest of that panel... and that could be somewhat normal, I guess, since the intricacies of that area could make the paint process at the factory `less uniform` there. `(Or, it could simply be just the picture angle/ lighting.) `

    `

Not questioning any work you have done... just wondering if I`m seeing the texture the same as you did, in that area.`

    `

    My best,

The whole front end has clearfilm on it, so that might be the difference that you are observing.

Ah... Thank you for the reply, Mr. Willis. `I guess, my naivete has shown through.

Outstanding job, as always. I can`t imagine how you corrected the vents by the tail lights. Was that hard water etching or just grime?

Thank you gents.................. car came out very nice. The rear vents did have water spots so the patient art of "Finger Fu" with 3D Erasur gel and polish did the trick.............suckness factor was high.

Ah yes, "Finger-Fu." `I am familiar with that style, however; I have only mastered "Who Flung Poo." `Otherwise known as "silent but deadly."

As always, beautiful result! No "rail dust" Bob, Corvettes are hauled out of BG by Allied Transport 11 on a trailer.
