This detail was booked before the owner had even purchased the car, and so when it arrived the day after he collected it I could quite possibly have been more excited than he was ops: ``
    `
    Day 1
    Inspection on delivery
Surface dirt and TOGW (The other guys wax)

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `
    Wheels
    `

    `
    Horrendous tire dressing
    `

    `
    Exhaust Tips
    `

    `
    Swirls/RIDS
    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `

    `
    And some buffer trails

    `

    `
    Window Rubbers
    `

    `
    Greasy trim
    `

    `
Hacked up bumper (under where the license plate holder was)
    `

    `
Arches: Cyclo APC / Mothers Fender Well Brush / HP Rinse / Glossworx - Extreme Tyre Shine `(This is a definite winner in my books so far. A little goes a long way and the spray pattern of the bottle it comes in assists here. Its priced really well at R108/500ml and it left the arches looking good.)
Tires: Glossworx Wheel and Tire Cleaner `/ Mothers Tire Brush / 2 coats Optimum Optibond Tire Gel`
Wheels: Glossworx Wheel and Tire Cleaner / Daytona Jnr / Various brushes/ Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover / APC rinse / AF Iron Out / Daytona Jnr / HP Rinse / Flooding Rinse / Menzerna Powerlock
Door shuts, window rubbers, fuel flap, badges: Cyclo APC / Various Brushes / HP Rinse / Collinite 845 / Chemical Guys Pete`53
Wash: Chemical Guys Maxisuds II via foam cannon / Glossworx Shampoo / 2BM with Lambswool wash mitt / Rinse
Dry: ONR at QD strength / WW Drying towel / Compressed Air
Decontamination : Autoglym Fine Grade Clay / ONR at clay lube strength - I decided not to use any tar or iron remover for possible side effects on the decals.
    `
Kyle was then kind enough to come around and let me test drive his PTG. The following readings were taken in microns:
    `
    Roof - `min 102, max 135, avg 110
    Bonnet - min 107, max 450, avg 250
    Driver fender - min 130, max 265, avg 200
    Driver door `-min 87, max 185, avg 150
Driver rear panel - min 110, max 172, avg 134
    Passenger fender - min 142, max 247, avg 210
    Passenger door - min 127, max 195, avg 150
Passenger rear panel - min 80, max 183, avg 140`
    `
With the paint now decontaminated it was easy to capture the water spots
    `

    `

    `

    `
I then set about taping up `- this was a tedious process and took well over 3 hours to complete `

    Very nice...`

    `

I love Porsches, but I am not a fan of the GT3`s graphics scheme or the radical wheel colors... to each his own.

Outstanding result! I too am not crazy about the graphics color but it`s not my car. It`s just an interesting`"fashion statement". I`ve been using 845 since 1974 and i`m glad to see that others find the quality in Collinite products. Well done!

Yes bang for buck (and in terms of durability) #845 is hard to beat
