2012 Mini Cooper S. Owner contacted me about a week ago, wanted to get his car cleaned up and protected. When we got there today, it was pretty clean (especially the wheels, what a relief!) but it did have some water spotting on much of the car and rotary swirls on the hood, tail gate and part of the roof.

After an ONR wash and Opti-Raser clay sponge

I started off with Meguiars D300 and a Meguiars microfiber cutting disc using my PC 7424 XP on speeds 5-6. Had to go over the hood twice but the rest of the car was pretty easy, wasn`t particularly difficult to remove the water spots.

I followed with 3D`s HD Speed using an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC on speeds 5-6. D300 had left a pretty good finish (looked ready for wax then) but HD Speed further refined the finish and added depth.

The paint was then protected by Optimum Opti-Seal, tires/fenderwells dressed with Armor All.

By the time I got around to the afters, mid to high level clouds had rolled in, but the car is swirl free even in the full sun and even under a slight haze, the sun was still plenty bright.

About 30 minutes after I got home today, I got this e-mail:

Hi Scott, XXXX here one last time. Again, thanks for coming all the way out to Denton today

to spruce up my MINI. I am beyond thrilled at the results. It looks better than brand new!

I will tell anyone who will listen to give you a call for any detailing needs, and you will certainly

be hearing from me again in the future. I can`t say thanks enough!

    Cheers

    Thanks guys, appreciate it.

It was nice for once to have a reasonably clean car to start with. The less time we have to spend getting it clean enough to polish means more time to work the paint and get it looking right.
