2006 Lexus LS460. This one has been through hell. I believe 3 accidents now, the latest required the unibody to be straightened. Owner was cut off and hit a curb at 60 mph. Plus it sits outside 24/7 and has since new. I removed a bunch of rotary swirls from it about a year or so ago. The last wreck required some body work and a section or two repainted. My guess is they got overspray on the roof because there were a bunch of rotary swirls there.

After an ONR wash and Opti-Raser clay sponge:

After Meguiars #105 and a Meguiars microfiber cutting disc and my PC 7424 XP

I then went over the whole car with Optimum Hyper Polish with an Optimum orange foam cutting pad and my PC 7424, sealed with Opti-Seal. Tires/fenderwells dressed with Armor All.

2010 Lexus LS460. Regular customer, has it detailed about 3 times a year. Does an excellent job in between keeping it clean and swirl free. The passenger side rear fender did have a scuff on it though, probably someone walking in between cars carrying bags brushed up against it perhaps?

You can see it in the middle of the picture:

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum microfiber cutting pad and my PC 7424 XP

    Full process:

    ONR wash, Opti-Raser clay sponge

Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum microfiber cutting pad and my PC 7424 XP (passenger side rear fender)

3D HD Speed with an Optimum microfiber polishing pad and my PC 7424 XP (great combo btw)

    Opti-Seal

    Armor All on tires/fenderwells

Optimum Metal Polish on exhaust tips

Scott, when should we expect these Opti-raser sponges to hit the market? Like to get away from clay. Especially hot paint, doesn`t work out so good. Both those Lexus`s look great! After all those accidents I might have deep sixed the car.

Thanks and yes, they are huge! I hear their size makes them amazing road trip cars.

I don`t know, Dr. G doesn`t release anything until he is satisfied its the best it can be. May be a month, maybe never. I believe he is looking into the nanoskin technology now too.

Lexus black is pretty hard. OHP and an orange foam cutting pad and it was LSP ready. If you run across one with swirls, plan for a full day of work.

Really? Do you notice a change with previous Lexus black? I assume they`re no longer single stage?

Been a long time since I`ve done one...
