Third time I`ve detailed this car, owner is really good about having it done every 6 months, does a nice job taking care of it in between details.

The sun was out when I started on it, by the time I finished, clouds had rolled in, the sun has yet to cooperate when I have detailed this car. The paint was only very lightly swirled, might have to polish it a bit harder in the fall, we`ll see. The goal this time was a good basic detail and as much depth as possible.

ONR wash, Opti-Raser clay sponge (test product)

3M Ultrafina using a Meguiars yellow polishing pad and my PC 7424 XP

3D HD Poxy to seal the finish

Optimum Metal Polish on the exhaust tips

Woolite/water diluted 20:1 to clean leather and vinyl

3D Carpet Shampoo diluted 16:1 to clean the carpets

Optimum Protectant Plus to dress the vinyl

Duragloss Leather Conditioner to treat the leather

Awesome job Scott! Isn`t it nice when the customer takes the initiative and keeps their ride looking good in between details? That has to make your job all the more easier right!

    Thanks y`all. :wavey

Yes, it is nice when people take care of their cars. They keep the interior really clean so I can breeze through that and concentrate on keeping the paint as swirl free as possible for a daily driver.

Scott, looks really nice. Can you comment on the durability of what`s on the car and how it`s holding up in the TX climate?

    thx.

    Looks awesome as usual, Scott.

Hey, which camera did you buy? I`m in the market so I don`t have to depend on the wife`s gear.

Well, I wouldn`t mind getting the Canon EOS T2I for around $550 and then I would get a 50mm 1.8 lens or possibly a 35mm lens, but honestly I don`t use 1/10 of the functions of that camera.

I`m not necessarily a fan of photography just yet, but want to get a camera that allows me to capture good 50/50 shots and some nice "after" shots for as little money as possible.

I`d love to find a camera body + lens for $250 total that is serviceable for my needs.

You would probably be happy with any prosumer type of camera for around $250. I have a Panasonic FZ7 (5 years old). It takes great outdoor pictures and has good color (though I`m not photography pro). Indoor it suffers a bit like any cheaper camera.

if you don`t mind pre-owned, this site Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera - CowBoom.com

has a used Rebel XS for $277.

I`ve got nothing to do with the site, just throwing it out there. you could probably get the same kit new for about $100 more (based on a quick google search). I have this camera, and it really is great and easy to use.

but like grimm said, for $250 you could get a mid-high level "regular" digital camera just about anywhere these days.

Good job on the black ride! Almost makes me want to trade-in and get an SS Camaro.
