As many of you know, I`m a GM muscle car fan. My favorite of all being the 98-02 TransAm, as I once owned a, 2000 WS.6 car. This car was in need of an intensive restoration inside and out. The owner dropped her car off with me. Its a Navy Blue Metallic 1998 ws.6 with 70,800 miles. As the story goes, this poor car was left uncovered in a driveway in Texas for years-so i had my work cut out for me, total time invested: 15 hours!

    Interior:

Leather cleaned with Adams Leather cleaner and saturated with Leatherique for a night

Plastic cleaned with Megs APC+ and horse hair brushes

Interior dressed with Adams Leather conditioner

T-Top area cleaned with Megs APC+ and a fine detailing brush, then waxed and rubber dressed with 303

Carpets and floor mats shampooed with CG`s Fabric Clean and a Flex with carpet brush attachment then extracted with Mytee Lite II

Windows (int/ext) cleaned with DP Krystal clear

Below: the interior arrived slathered in heavy silicone-laiden chemicals, note the ridiculous sheen on EVERYTHING.

^I swear, enthusiast cars are the dirtiest cars sometimes!!! This was my MF after only cleaning the rear speakers/hatch area-which does not have a lot to it!!!

    Engine:

Checked for loose connections then draped aluminum foil over the alternator.

Foamed with pressure washer and mix of CG`s Grime Reaper and Wash&Gloss shampoo

Agitated stubborn stuff with straight Grime Reaper and various brushes.

Towel and blow dried off, then dressed with DP vinyl dressing and stoners trim shine spray for the tight spots.

    Exterior:

Foamed with CG`s Grime Reaper and Wash&Gloss shampoo, scrubbed with a blue grout sponge.

Wheels/wells cleaned with CG`s Grim Reaper @ 6:1 and various brushes, dressed with TufShine permanent coating

Borla exhaust tips cleaned with S100 Polishing soap

I must add, the owner did a great job clay barring this car b/c my medium bar was not picking up much, even behind the wheels.

Polished the paint with Flex 3401, Surbuf pads and D300. This left the paint so incredible I nearly didn`t make a finishing pass, but opted to do so with a green pad and D301. My first few passes with D300 and the MF cutting pad reduced about 85%, but the Surbuf simply eradicated every swirl and shined up the tail lights tremendously. For tight areas and door jambs I used a Griots 3" and MFDA pads.

Below: Note the hazy paint and foggy reflections, for some reason my camera doesn`t capture swirls on metallic blue paint-not kidding, had the same issue shooting a BMW 3 series last year.

Below: After 2 step polishing; brilliant gloss, sick paint and epic reflections!

I`m getting more and more impressed with microfiber buffing pads and polishes. this bird really took off.(it`s probably more due to the user than the products!) Great Job!

I like what you did. Not only does the outside look better but the inside is a huge, tastefully done, improvement! Way to go.

Thanks fellas! Yes, the MFDA combos are becoming quite the go-to alternative to the dusty M105/Purple Foam Wool I normally cut GM cars with. :bounce:

Nice work Jaison. And at first glance, I had no idea what was hovering over the car in the second foaming pic. Now I see the canopy, so I guess it`s a banner but it freaked me out at first!
