After exchanging a few emails with this client and making time for our schedules we allowed a few days for this beautiful E class to be properly treated for. The owner had only had the car for a week and after 2 attempts by the dealership detailer, he was still unsatisfied with the results and contacted me. The client told me when he went to pick up the car, the guy was buffing the paint is near complete darkness with pads and towels lying on the ground.

After doing a walk through of the condition with the client, we settled on doing whatever was needed to remove the holograms and other defects in the paint. Some areas required multiple steps, some did not. I also made my way around the entire car several times searching for even the finest of scratches that would need wet sanding to remove. After another set of trained eyes checked the paint as well, the condition of this paint was as close to 100% as I could possibly get it.

So as normal I first started with a pressure washing of the wheels, tires, and arches.

Using Meguiar`s Super Degreaser on the tires and arches. I especially love using a degreaser based product for tires as it will help loosen and remove the heavy silicone tire shine from the dealership and prep the tire for a new dressing later on.

The wheels were in excellent shape but needed a light cleaning with Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Gel and the Mini EZ Detail Brush for behind the spokes and the backside of the wheel.

Before starting the Citrus Wash to help remove any oils from the paint that could be concealing defects.

A couple of pictures of the dealership installed holograms and swirls.

Before doing any defect removal, I wanted to knock out the interior as there were several smudges and fingerprints. For this I went with Optimum Protectant Plus and a MF Applicator Pad. Using it sparingly by applying directly on the pad, then the leather and vinyl, it gives a nice clean matte finish which compliments this interior properly.

Before doing any defect removal I started on the interior and gave each surface the proper attention so when the owner was picking up, he would have that "new car" feeling finally. All the leather and vinyl on the doors and console area were treated with Optimum Protectant Plus using a MF applicator pad. Using very sparingly onto the MF pad first, then the area gives a nice clean and matte finish which compliments this interior perfectly.

The seats were also hit using Leatherique Prestine Clean to give them a proper base as it`s brand new. Gave them a nice soft feeling.

All the wood grand on the doors and front console area were treated with Opti-Seal. Gives it a nice look while providing protection.

Removing the Blackfire before taking outside to do the final wipe down and taking pictures. The wheels were sealed with Opti-Seal and I used Meg`s Tire Gel for the tires.

The gloss level was taken to the max and paint was properly leveled. I really love this color.

DJ that looks awesome. Quick question since you have tried both I think - how does BFWD compare to the new Power Lock. I am going back and forth between both.

I wonder if the owner had the dealership pay for this? I don`t even know why the dealers try and pass cars off for being detailed when they look worse then when they came off the production line.
