    Hey everyone!

Just thought I would share this little project I did for a customer - polishing a header.

This header was in horrible shape. I tried 1000 grit first, and it did nothing. These results were mirrored with 800 grit as well. I ended up having to start with 220 grit because there was some deep pitting that was not coming out with higher grits.

Anyways, after many, many, many, many hours sanding, and a few hours of polishing, here`s what I was able to achieve. It is not perfect by any means but definitely looks a lot better than before.

    Process:

    Wetsand with 220, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000

Compound with M105 on PC @ speed 6 with yellow pad and lots of pressure

Tight areas done with Mother`s power ball on Bosch 18v drill with M105

    P21S Finish restorer by hand

TW Platinum Series metal polish by hand

    Sealed with KSG

I`m going to be polishing a set of rims soon for my personal vehicle and will post those up too!

    Thanks for looking!!

Although I totally appreciate the time and effort that went into those... and although the final finish was outstanding and a testament to your quality of work............

What a waste of time.... I can only imagine how long that took!

    Nice job...

Sorry I never responded to this. Completely forgot!

If I recall correctly, I worked on it for about 20 hours here and there. I wasn`t concerned about the time...had an image of what I wanted it to look like and I kept going till I got there. My goal was not perfection with this piece, but rather an improvement.
