The owner of the Iron Horse motorcycle I detailed last weekend set up an appointment today to have his SS Silverado 1 step detail outside only, headlights restored and Engine detail (the engine detail was free because I had to cancel an appointment we had because my fiance had to go into the ER) as well as have his BMW Bike done, quick detail.

I arrived at his house today at 7am, forgot my camera so no before pictures, the owner was nice enough to take after pictures and email them to me.

1st up is the SS Silverado, this truck is such a beautiful blue. Overall in good shape, some light swirls and the blue just was not "pretty" anymore, his wife told me (it is her truck).

These details were both done in full sun

    Wash

I started with an ONR wash, clayed with Blue Magic and some areas had these black dots from the trees they required Meg Red clay and still some faught to be removed.

After claying was done I noticed the hood was real bad, it had some buffer trails and holograms. The owner said 3 yrs ago the last time it was washed by hand a friend "detailed" the truck and polished only the hood and applied wax by hand to the rest of the truck :shead:

    Wheels/Wells

Tires cleaned with Majestic Solution Super Green Stuff, wheels cleaned with ONR and MF towel, one wheel required clay and MS SGS, wells cleaned with MS SGS. Tires and wells dressed with Meg ASD.

    Engine

I rinsed the engine real quick with the hose, sprayed some Surf City Grime destroyer and aggitated with brushes, rinsed and dried with towels and leaf blower. FK350 was used on all plastic and rubber, DG 501 on painted areas. Started the truck and let run for a 10 minutes, the sun really helped to dry everthing.

    Headlights

Headlights polished with 3.5" PFW pad and M105, then Prima Swirl 4" LC flat orange pad then a white pad, protected with FK 1000p x2

    Glass

Glass cleaned with ONR, walmart glass towels and Walamart Waffle Weave.

    Paint Correction

Well I could not do just a one step on the hood and have my name on the detail so the hood recieved M105 with a 3.5" PFW and PC speed 6, followed by M105 4" Flat LC pad speed 6, finished with M205 4" white LC flat pad speed 6 3 passes then speed 4 3 passes.

M205 white pad was used on the rest of the SS.

    LSP

The paint was sealed with FK 218 (no idea why I used this but I am glad I did), applied with PC, flat black 4" pad speed 4, it went on and off so easy.

What I did was divide the truck in 4 sections. I applied fK 218, then apply Meg ASD to a tire, by that time the 218 was ready to be removed. So I did this 4 times.

30 minutes after I finished I used some OCW on the SS as well

The owner was very pleased, she said the paint is beautiful and forgot that it had flakes, 218 made the flakes POP

    Headlights

Before (I had this picture from the last detail)

    After

The BMW was cleaned with ONR, chrome polished with #0000 steel wool and Meg Hot Rims chome polish, M205 by hand, Danse Wet Glaze, Opt Opti Seal. Wheels cleaned with Zeop Citrus, brushes, ONR and lots of towels.

    Both look great.

Bikes are a pain, but you can make a drastic difference on them.
