This is my first post to this board so, be easy on me. This car is a 1961 "Type E" triple carb Jag. British Racing Green and was completely restored eight years ago. The car has sat in the garge, under a cover for all of those eight years without seeing the light of day.

After removing the cover and rolling it - had to push it - out of the garage, I was amazed at how clean it actually was.

Each time I thought about taking pictures, it was an after thought. Anyway`s here goes.

First, cleaned the wheels - I have a new respect for "The Homies" rolling on their Dayton spokes - with P21S and Swissvax Wheel Brush. Tires got a good scrub with APC.

The finish work started with Adams Car Wash in the foam cannon. CLay with SW rubber clay and ONR solution. Rinsed and then two bucket, again with Adams and Uber Wash Mitt. Dryed with DD drying blankets, three of them. The paint wasn`t too bad. But, there were a few defects requiring sanding. Got those cleaned up then proceeded with one round of 105 on 9227 with Yellow Wool.

Next was Meg 205 on Meg Polishing Pad. Then, another pass of 205 on Finishing Pad. Used Meg 2.0 sealant and did the tires with Adams VRT. Glass was finished off with Sprayway. Sorry for not having all the proper product numbers, etc. I haven`t used a lot of Megs products in the past. This customer wanted to pay no more than $600.00 and I wasn`t going to use SW on a $600.00 exterior job. Although it needed only feeding and dusting, the customer wanted to do the interior.

Looks nice. Use photobucket or flickr to upload your photos then post the IMG code directly into the reply box and your set. Great start.

Is the owner gonna be competing in JCNA concours events with it?

No. It is the Mirror Glaze 21 Proofesinl label. Easy apply and leave a good gloss. I don`t know about the show. He has a number of perfectly and correctly restored cars. If you can see in the background, he had a perfect 1964 Mark II AC Cobra.

He`s actually a great customer. He really doesn`t get how cool some of his toys are. One of these, doesn`t take care of them as I would were they mine. Has the, "End of the day, it`s JUST a car" kind of view.
