What’s up guys? I arrived on a very foggy morning hoping that it wouldn’t rain. The car was a 2005 Mercedes Benz with about 46,000 miles on the odo. It was in decent shape with the exception of moderate swirling left behind from gas station and dealer car washes. Claying the car was a different story, there were tons of road contaminants (tar, bug guts, etc.) that were bonded to the paint since the car has never really been detailed since it was first purchased. The car went through two polishing stages and two coats of wax to protect the paint from mother nature`s elements.

The carpets were foamed and shampood, the leather, vinyl, and plastics were all cleaned, conditioned and protected. You can really appreciate a car of this magnitude, Its size, quality and craftsmanship were all top notch. Doors closed with a deep solid thud, the motor was super quiet, and all sorts of creature comforts were available to the passengers to remind them what German engineering is all about. Enough of the talk and onto the pics!

why you should`nt go to gas station/dealer car washes

After-1st polishing stage with some polishing haze left over

    swirl free

50/50-Uncorrected on the left, 1st stage polish on the right

    Different angle

    stained rear floor mat

    foamed and shampood

    quick clean up

What products did you use for the paint correction?

I just buffed out the hood of my neighbors benz for him (oddly enough the cars are identical). He had some bird dropping marks and some scratches. I used Menzerna Power gloss on a orange pad and it still could not get out all the marks. Man that is some hard paint.

    thanks

I wish I had better camera skills to capture the fog that was rolling in. Whenever I used the flash all the droplets of water would light up and ruin the pic.
