    kwiker- Thanks again!

Rydawg- Thanks Ryan! As bad as the car was, I would do another one tomorrow. I just love when you can take a car in that state and make it look brand new again. Maybe some day if you get off of your butt, you`ll catch up on some click & brags of some cars you have done to share with everyone! :chuckle: Can`t wait for you to post up pics of the Ferrari!

As for you detailing my car, I think Nu-Finish would look better than what it looks like now!

Rick amazing job as usual. I remember seeing that car in your shop and I could not believe how how far it had come after just some compounding. Final product looked amazing!

For you guys that have never met Rick and Ryan, they are truely as nice in person as they are on Autopia. They are always willing to share their knowledge to help others become better detailers. Thanks guys!!

Frankly speaking if I am asked to detail this car I would have suggested to the owner to go for a re-spray instead :p .

You are really AMAZING, I cannot imagine the kind of patience and hard work you have put into this car to turn it from a ugly duckling into such a beauty again. You really inspired me with this posting and maybe one day I shall challenge myself with such a detail too.

Jokeman- Thanks a lot Bryan! It`s always a pleasure to have you stop by the shop and hang out for a while. We`ll definitely have to meet up and do some snowmobiling this winter. See you again soon.

Gen2- Thank you very much! I can`t wait to see some more of your details. You take great pictures and I always enjoy your threads.

MotorCity- Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Whoa, it`s back from the grave Rick! You definitely brought this one back and it looks better than a lot of the new Vette`s out there! I`m sure the owner was impressed and be a customer for life if he wasn`t already.

Oh by the way, what backing plate are you using (it`s black in color) in the picture of you polishing with 106FA?

    Thanks a lot Denzil!

The backing plate I was using is a Meguiar`s "Easy Buff" W66 backing plate. They work great! Meguiars Solo System

    Hey, Rick.

Just wanted to double check....Is this the product you`re talking about for stripping off all of the old wax?

Yes, that`s the stuff. You pick up a gallon at Home Depot for about $11 or so. I dillute it 50/50 with water.

Right on. Thanks for the prompt response, Rick.
