Some absolutely stellar work there; I`m very impressed with the level of defect removal.

Can you share more about the "antibacterial degreaser"?

    Thanks Sean!

Ryan and I use Spray Nine on every car to remove any previous layers of wax, etc. from the paint surface before polishing. It works great! Spray Nine Corporation

Unfortunately, I sold my Z06 to save some $$, so I bought an Admiral Blue C4 for a summer toy. The Z06 is definitely faster, but the ZR-1 is pretty impressive for being 15 years old!

My car is the blue one in the back...

Bummer on the Z06 sale, but atleast you still have a Vette to play with. Are you going to post a Click and Brag with the pics of your new ride? LT1 or LT4??

Agree 100% with that. You and Ryan both are so willing to help. Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions on this forum. Between your C&B threads and your answers about product/technique, you`ve definitely helped me out and I`m sure I`m not alone there.

I spent an hour reading this and looking at it, and I enjoyed every second. Awesome work and thank you for sharing!

    shine- Thanks shine!

Way2SSlow- Wade, my C4 is just an LT-1, so it was pretty tough downgrading from my Z. This is my 4th Corvette and won`t be my last. I`ll probably try to sell it before the winter and get an SUV or something. The next Vette I get will be another Z06 or a C6.

I always try help out whenever possible and tend stay out of any arguments here on the forum. It`s good to know my advice is appreciated! Thanks again!

Fantastic job. The paint has such a deep glow to it looks better than `showroom` new!

One thing in the before pictures that stood out was the emblems. The nooks and crannies looked either dirty or faded, especially the 40th emblem.

What was your method and product to polish in the tiny little areas inside and surrounding the emblems?

    Looks fantastic!

Lots and lots of scratches removed. Did you use a paint gauge to safely wetsand the car?

evo77- Thanks! All the hard-to-reach areas (emblems, door jambs, hood jambs, hatch jambs, headlights, etc.) were polished with Meguiar’s 105, followed by Menzerna 106fa using a microfiber applicator and then sealed with Zaino All In One.

gmblack3a- Thanks a lot Bryan! I don`t know how much longer I can detail for. 15 years of detailing is really taking a toll on my body!

PrideSS- Thanks! I was not able to use a paint gauge because it does not work on fiberglass. They do make them for fiberglass, but are pretty expensive. I have a pretty good eye for spotting thin paint and don`t really find it necessary.

Amazing work Rick! I really did not expect the afters to look so good considering how bad the paint looked beforehand! Very impressive.
