Awesome detail, these pics are great. You really did an amazing job with this car and avoided everything that would harm the vehicle. Once again, great detail.. I`ve seen some of your work on other forums, good stuff.

Great work Josh! If the dealer was smart, they would have watched and learned from you how to do a proper new car prep. Did you notice any contaminants on your clay bar from the body panels what were plastic wrapped? Also, did you ever consider polishing to improve the finish or was it as good as it was going to get?

David, I did inspect the paint and came to the conclusion that it really just didn`t need any polishing (to my surprise), possible a good AIO cleanser before sealing, but not any corrective polishing.

Yes the clay did take off alot of contamination from every panel of the car even under the plastic. I`m not sure at what point they put the plastics on the panels whether it`s before they ship it over seas or after but it had a whole lot of contamination on every panel including the side panels.

So here are the pics some 6-7 weeks after the intial prep work.

The owner has washed it a handful of times at least.

All I did on this trip was to rewash it, Z6 wipe down and a ZCS topping with Z8 on the rims and Meg`s Hypershine on the tires.

Finally got some good sun pics (first time it rained cats and dogs) and I was totally surprised to see the amount of gloss, reflections and clearity in this metalic paint.:2thumbs:

So here you go in no certain order.....

This is the nickname of the GT-R btw.

    More pics to come......

Absolutely gorgeous. I`ve been following the GT-R and it`s progress on coming to the states for a while. What a car and very nice work on the small details like the rust drips and the plastic on the wheels. Very nice work !

Great work on the car. I hope the owner can keep the finish looking good for years to come.
Converted over to ONR & now Lowes grout sponge. Protected by 3M clear bra, and one layer of Zaino is all you need!

Well they are carried over from the previous 3 generations of GT-Rs from way way back... Not sure what they should look like.

Thanks, it`s such a better looking car in person though, no camera can really do it justice.

Thanks, yes I`m very sure he will as we`ve talked quite a bit on how to properly wash and dry it so as to not accumulate any swirls. He`s already bought a leaf blower the same as the one I use. It`s nice to know an owner will cherrish his car as much as I will.
