I finally got around to detailing my Lotus Exige S. I did clay the car when I first got it (in Sept 07), and went straight to the LSP as the paint was in pretty good shape, with very few swirls (and what swirls existed were very minor).

I figured the paint might benefit from some polishing to add to the gloss and wetness.

After washing and claying the car, I used a white low profile 5" pad on a PC with Menzerna`s 106FF. I didn`t take any before pics because the paint already looked good, but the 106FF definitely added the additional gloss and wetness that I was hoping for.

After considering my options for an LSP (I had Werkstatt on before) I decided to go with Opti-Seal based largely on how impressed I have been with it on my yellow daily driver. OS didn`t let me down!

First a couple of overall shots. I don`t like the lighting at all in these pictures (Silver is hard to photograph in direct sun) so I may try taking more in the next week, but for now:

Here`s one on the shade side of the car:

    A couple of Interior shots.

The leather was last treated a few months ago with Zaino Leather Conditioner, but I am going to be trying FK1`s #20 (which is actually a wood polish, but it has worked great on our leather chairs in the house). FK1 108 used on the dash:

More to follow in the next post....

These shots do a good job of showing the

wetness and gloss I am getting with the 106FF OS combo:

I am very happy with 106FF and OS. The finishing touch was some FK1 425 for that little extra pop. :2thumbs:

    Fun to the extreme!

Of course my wife can only stand riding in it for about 20 minutes at a time. The stiff suspension just doesn`t agree with her soft curves!

If only I had a dime for every time I was asked that question!

No, it`s a fire extinguisher, to make the car track legal.
