This is my truck that I bought new in 2001. It has 84000 miles and is very much a truck. It has seen mud, gravel, blizzards, wind storms, hail storms, and much other nastiness. I don`t always have the time for detailing like I would want, so I make do with what I got.

Of course I washed with PW and Foam cannon last week:

The before didn`t shoe any of the filth, so here’s an after wash

To finish detailing I had to wait about a week (no TIME)

    The full process was:

    Wash with ONR

Clay at same time using clay magic and onr as lube

Amorall Tire Foam to clean tires; spray on dwell 5 min wipe excess

Plastic trim was treated with Wizards Trim Restore

    Glass cleaned with Invisible Glass

    Polish Paint

*Problem areas got a pass or two using Purple Wool and OC to cut some deeper issues first.

    -OP X2 by 6.5" LC white @ 1200-1500RPM and final pass @ 900RPM

    -3M UF SE 6.5" @ 1200RPM and final pass @ 900RPM

    Sealed

KAIO by PC LC blue speed 3

DWG by PC LC blue speed 3

PB EX-P by PC LC blue speed 3

    After wash and clay

I have had a good wash technique so there aren’t a lot of swirls. Like I said I cut some of the worst areas with the wool, the befores didn’t turn out. Most of the scratches I have are deep and spread out and will NOT polish those all out on this one. The biggest issue I have is with oxidation and normal wear on the clear. It just needing a real good "make shiny again" polishing.

After Polishing I applied KAIO using the PC on a blue pad. This was simply to clean the oils off of the paint and add a good base for adding the rest of what I will throw at the paint this summer. I then added Danse Wet Glaze, it does make the paint wetter. Sealed with PB EX-P.

    Finals

I wanted to get some sun shots or at least out door pics, but its been raining/snowing scince I started the detail.:bawling: Maybe when spring comes back I`ll get some up here.

Thanks. It took a long time to do and 1 trip to work in the snow Friday to really make it messy again. Oh well, now I have to wait until a warm day to wash. Metallic Blue is my fav color.
