Daily Driver - 35k miles! Nice to see an owner of a high-end sports car putting it through its paces. Rain or shine, sleet or snow, this owner makes the trek in this beautiful German machine. With this comes some sacrifice, too. Having driven in the snow (with snow wheels/tires) coupled with freezing temps, the owner was forced to run it through an automatic wash quite a few times. Being that Porsche has such soft paint, the paint surely suffered. I spent about 9 hours bringing this one back (no interior shots).

    Exterior

    - Dawn Wash

    - Zaino Z18 Clay on paint, glass, wheels

    - TOL Tire Cleaner cut 1:1 on tires, wells

    - P21s Wheel Cleaner on wheels

    - Meguiar`s M105 and Zaino Z-PC (70/30) via rotary and LC CCS White Polishing Pad @ 1700 rpm

    - Zaino Z-PC via PC and LC CCS German Green Polishing Pad @ 6

    - Meguiar`s M105 via #0000 Steel Wool on tailpipes

    - Dawn Wash and Rinse

    - Zaino Z5 Pro (ZFX`d) on paint, glass, wheels

    - Zaino Z16 on tires x 2

    - CG VRP cut 2:1 in wells

    - Zaino Z8 final wipedown

I asked the owner about this fact. In 35k, the only repairs/maintenance it has needed were oil changes. Can`t beat that .

C4S is AWD, but still . Porsche in the snow is a fun thought.

GR-40 to clean the trim, Dawn to neutralize, Zaino Z8 to protect.

Maybe a trade secret, but I add about 1 ounce of Z6 to 7 ounces of Z-PC. It really minimizes dusting and increases the working time. Since M105 works quick, the Z-PC comes in nicely on the back end for any stubborn marrs. I ran this combo over the surface for 4-5 very slow overlapping passes. There was so little residue that I left it on the panels and went right to Z-PC on the PC once done.

    Thank you.

    Great work Sean.

I too have been mixing some ZPC in with M105 on the pad. On softer clears like this it really works well with the white CCS pad and finishes out really well. Not LSP ready but you know what I mean.

I think I got the idea from you, maybe you used the combo w/ a PC in the past?
