    Hello,

    This customer found me through Autopia, but it turns out we both work at the same company. Small world...

    The owner bought this truck used not too long ago. The interior was very clean, but the paint looked like it had been washed with a brick for its entire life. I completely underestimated this one and thus wasn`t able to deliver the vehicle at the promised time. My apologies Kyle!

    Since the customer requested a one-step polish, I had to do the best I could. See pics for more...

    1) Foam with Citrus Wash `n Gloss

    2) Wash with Citrus Wash ` Gloss and ShMITT

    3) Dry with Cobra Guzzler

    4) SIP on Orange Wolfgang Pad on Flex at 6

    5) CG EZ Creme Glaze

    6) CG Jetseal 109

    7) Lusso Oro

    BEFORE

    ======

    Customer had washed it a few days ago, wasn`t terribly dirty. Just got some dirt on it from a dust-filled rainstorm.

    Yikes, I can see the swirls through the dirt!!!

    Pulled it into the garage under the lights, almost fell over...

    Test pass with SIP on orange with the Flex, looks promising...

    The doors were hurting...

    Front fender done, still some swirls left but not bad for a one-stepper!

    I was worried about the bed, it looked more gray than black!

    Under the lights it was horrible, Texas pinstriping!!!

    The bed reacted well to the SIP!!!

    AFTER

    =====

    You can still see some minor swirls above the headlight...

    Hope you enjoyed, comments always welcome...

    :thx

    Thanks! I washed the truck last night, and I spent about 5.5 hours on it today.

    The Brinkmann light reflection shots are amazing. SIP is nice but THAT`s technique too. Nicely done.

    Very good job, looks as bad as the one i did last week:

    http://autopia.org/forum/click-brag/...a-1st-c-b.html

    It didn`t really look that bad in the sun but when I pulled it in and hit the lights, I was like: Dang!

    Nicely done! By those swirls, it certainly does look like it was washed with a brick. :chuckle:

    Hey - that truck looks familiar!

    Thanks for the great job, Piet. We headed to Houston to visit family after I picked up the truck and my relatives kept asking who got the `new` truck that was in the drive-way. Amazing for a 5 year old truck that was really used as a truck.

    It looks better than I could have hoped for. The vast majority of scratches are gone, it`s finally -black-, and I don`t cringe when I see it in sunlight. I just need to spend a little time with some touch-up paint on some of the chips and the thing will really pass as new.

    I highly recommend Piet if you`re looking for detailing in Austin. Great work, great service, great guy...

    How many "passes" did you make with SIP for the test pass? How long did you have to work that area?

    Thanks again for your business Kyle! Once again, I apologize about not being able to deliver the vehicle on time, but I hope the end result was worth it. Let me know if you have any further questions about what tools to purchase to maintain the look, I`ll be more than happy to answer those for you.

    Enjoy the new black truck!!!
