Hey everyone. Customer wanted this car back in mint condition. Being 18 years old, it was in decent shape. There were spots of clear coat failure.

    Process:

    Wash

    Clay

    SIP w/ orange pad @ 1600 rpm

    106ff w/ white pad @ 1400 rpm

    z2pro

    Enjoy!

Wunderbar! But then, I am partial towards der Ältere Panzerwagen If you were not so far away, I`d give you a shot at the swirly white that covers my 560SL. :faint:

I have the same car, only in white. You did a fabulous job. These old benzes are really something else. Durable and though is quite an understatement. I`m getting ready to do some corrective work on mine here soon. How hard was the clear coat?

I`ve owned a few of these big bodied w126, and you did a GREAT job on that beauty !!! That paint is black pearl, and IMO the best paint Mercedes Benz ever put on a car. those wheels are a real pain to clean. They are clearcoated and I usually buff them up to a mirror shine when there in good shape.

    NICE WORK !!!
    No buff to tuff
