Thanks Todd, it was a real challenge doing that flare side, I`d never wish it on any detailer but it was good practice for me with all those curves. It turned out nicely.

Thanks, yes he was pretty happy to see it. I got it back to him just after the new year and told him for the new year he`ll have a new truck. :xyxthumbs

My parents have made so many sacrifices for me, even though I`m grown now, I just wanted to do something to give back to them.

Super job! Your dad should be proud. It is great to see the resurrection of daily drivers. Not all of us have garage queens to show off. You sir, have done what most of us here strive for. That gift sure as heck beats socks, ties, and sweaters. Plus, your dad can show off and brag on you by just driving around.

Fantastic work, fantastic intentions... put a smile on my face....

I would be very proud to drive my vehicle after my son detailed it to the level you did...

You better beleive I`d be bringing people out to my truck, showing it to them with a big ole` smile while saying "yup, my son did this"

The truck looks really nice. When you wet sand like that, what are the chances of those areas having clear coat failure in the future due to the wetsanding?

I agree, this post is inspirational. Gives me pause for thought as to me trying to do some wet sanding on my own daily driven Black truck. I commend your reasons for the detail as well as your accomplishment on this detail.

Thanks, that`s kind of what I was hoping for. It`s weird not have a gift you can give that isn`t under the tree with a bow on it and all.
