    2007 BMW 530i

My wife just picked up a 2007 530 with 7K on the clock.

The car was suffering from buffer trails, swirls, and a few deep isolated scratches.

My neighbor and I detailed the Beemer this weekend using the following process:

    Prep:

    Dawn Wash

    Clay

Wet Sanding: We had to wet sand a few deep scratches using 8000 & 12000 micromesh paper.

Polishing: John (mgm121499) ran the Metabo & Power Gloss @ 1800RPM in heavily marked areas, I ran the PC and UDM @ 5 using Menzerna Intensive polish, and the car was finished off with P085RD @ 1500-1000RPM.

Glass & Chrome and Wheels were polished using ZAIO,

After polishing, the car was wiped down with PGP Prep-Sol, and Dawn Washed again.

    LSP:

Z5Pro x 2 (zfx’d) via a CCS finishing pad. CS was used to prime the pad.

Z2Pro x 1 using the same process as above.

Z6/Z8 mix used for the final wipe down.

    Tires: Z16

Here are a few shots before-during-after.

    Thanks everyone :usa

Zaino is junk. It lacks depth and looks plasticky...

    :LOLOL

Fantastic work, absolutely stunning! Congrats on the new car, love the color...

Car looks great. Good work, it has incredible depth and wetness. The Zaino really makes that color pop. :2thumbs:

P.S. John, PM me with where you get your micro mesh paper. I used that stuff a lot in the past and LOVED it. I had a kit that went all the way down to even less than 12000 grit I think. The finer grades were actually cloth and reusable and even worked dry.
