This car was detailed for one of my regular retail customers. The gentleman and his wife are both into cars and bring them to me periodically for a full treatment. He owns the Lambo and she has a Black 02` Acra NSX for a daily driver. This car is driven on almost every nice day by either him or his wife. It is not a garage queen with only a couple thousand miles on it like most other exotics on the road. Not sure exactly how many miles are on it at the time, but I know they have been racking up. It was pretty dirty and had a few issues that needed to be adressed.

There was some water spot stains on all of the top surfaces including the clear bra that were not removed by claying, so I was expecting to do some extensive compounding. Luckily enough, the water spots polished right out with some Klasse AIO by hand.

The paint was actually in surprisingly good condition underneath all the grime and dirt, so not much buffing was required.

    My Process:

~Washed exterior and cleaned wheels & tires

~Clayed complete exterior with Kar Kraft purple clay bar (med. grade) & rewashed

~Cleaned engine compartment by hand using a damp microfiber cloth used with Super Kleen general purpose cleaner and dressed with Kar Kraft Hi-Lite (aerosol dressing in a can).

~Spot-buffed light scratches with Optimum Hyper Compound, followed by Intensive Polish and Final Polish

~Applied Klasse AIO by hand to complete exterior paint and glass, which removed all of the water spots

    ~Z8 Wipedown

    ~1 coat of Zaino Clear-Seal

~2 coats of Z2 Pro (ZFX`d) by hand

    ~Z8 Wipedown

~Topped with 2 coats of Optimum Opti-Seal (This made a huge difference in wetness !!)

~Dressed tires and wheel wells with Super Blue Dressing

~Wheels received Zaino AIO followed Clear-Seal

    ~Clear-Seal on all exterior glass

~Polished exhaust tips with Wicked Metal Polish

That`s great work on a exquisitely designed beauty.

I`m still amazed how small it really is in person.

Maybe I should have done it the other way around?

I find that the Opti-Seal really enhances the look after 2 or more coats. Three coats over a period of a couple days seems to work the best for me. It`s nice that a lot of the cars I detail are dropped of for a few days, which enables me to layer with proper time in between.

The ZAIO was applied to the wheels by hand.

wow - amazing car and superb finish.

Can you comment on how well the Opti-Seal retains the wet look?

My car is a little darker in colour and I crave the wettest possible look. Trying Jeffs AJT & Ultima and the Opti-Seal keeps being mentioned....

Great work Rick!! I haven`t seen you post a detail on here in a while. Interesting interior color combo on that car BTW.
