When I first joined this board I mentioned that I had a friend who`d Grand National needed some love. Well today it got some. Eventually this car will need a new paint job. There were just some defects that couldn`t be fixed.

    My process was this.

    Wash w/PB`s suds

    Clayed

    Washed again

SSR2 w/orange pad on UDM (probably could have gotten away with SSR2.5)

    PP w/bonnet

    EX

I`ll get back and do a coat of Natty`s blue or Red next week. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure:

    Hood before:

Rear of the car (Yes, that`s the owner in the background):

    Passenger Door:

    Passenger Door After:

Roof After (just couldn`t do anyting about this):

    Trunk:

    Right side of the car:

Not a bad job, it would just take forever to get out some of those RIDS and deep water spots with a PC/UDM. If he is going to get it repainted, its time to move up to a rotary as you have the prefect car to practice on.

RIDS? I`m still gonna wait a little bit before I order a rotary...LOL This job was only the second time I used my UDM.

Ahh ok. Another one to add to the decoder ring.

You are correct there just wasn`t enough time in the day to get those out with the UDM.
