This one was a fun one to work on. The owner is a frequenter of this board and contacted me after seeing my work. He truely is a perfectionist and has some minor swirling and was intrested in seeing if I could take it to that next level.

When I arrived the car was washed and clayed and ready for polishing. I didn`t get a lot of before pictures because it was early and sun was just comming up, but there was minor to moderate swirling. The paint was rather hard, requiring an Lake Country Yellow Pad @ 2000 rpms with Menzerna SIP to get a lot of the swirls out. The car came out perfect (99.9 percent defect free) and the gloss was unbeliveable. The photos do not do this one justice, IMO.

    Process Paint

    Wipe with Meguiars #34

Polish with Menzerna SIP @ 2000 rpm with a Lake Country Yellow Pad

Polish with Menzerna 106ff @ 1400 rpm with a Lake Country Blue Pad

    50/50 ISO/H20 wipedown

    2 coats of Zaino Z5pro (ZFX`ed)

    1 coat of Zaino Z2pro

    Process Misc.

Rim`s polished with Zaino Z-AIO then protected with 2 coats of Zaino Z5pro

Chrome, windows, trim polished with Zaino Z-AIO then protected with Zaino Z2pro

    Tires with Zaino Z16

    Wheelwells with Meguiars Natural Shine

    Okay some before pics

After polished with Menzerna`s two best I pulled the car out in the sun to check my work. Perfect!

After polished, I wiped with 50/50 then applied the Zainos. Here are a whole load of afters....

When I first back out after applying the LSP`s, it was cloudy but I took pictures anyways hoping for the sun to break to get a true look at the GMC.

The sun threatening to break out!!!

As the sun broke out I captured some pictures of the metal flake in MACRO mode. Even the pictures don`t do the flake justice as it really looked like the hull of a boat, it was awesome.

You know you`ve got popping flake when you can almost see it from a distance in a photo.

Very cool and way to add to the growing SIP madness
