    Perfect red! Deep and liquid!

Is the driver`s door a repaint? The orange peel is very bad for a Porsche.

Nope...I took paint measurements and there are no indications of repaint at all on the door. In person the orange peel didnt seem to bad :nixweiss

    Question:

In a different section of this forum, i made a comment about the fact I typically tape off windows, etc of my car when I detail it and the comment was met with a what a waste of time type of attitude. Then I come here and find this post with the car taped off.

The other poster made it seem like a waste of time because "most products that you put on your paint are just as helpful for glass", therefore I`m curious what is your reasoning for taping off? What do you tape off versus what you don`t etc...

Btw...Great work on a great car which happens to be my 2nd favorite car besides the unattainable Carrera GT.

A little prep is insurance. Running a buffer at 1800 rpms and hitting trim is trouble. Either staining or burnt trim will occur. I tape certain crevices so that polishing residue and dust will not gather to where I cant clean it. Hey if someone doesnt want to tape trim that`s their preference. I have my own preference which is better safe then sorry. When doing the cars I have been getting, there is ZERO room for error lol!

Who would have thought that a GT2 with a boxer-style motor redlines at only 6500 rpms. :nixweiss

I guess the twin-turbo makes up for it. The owner mentioned he had some minor engine work and is pushing around 450rwhp if im not mistaken.

I use LC DA flat 6.5 inch pads (i think they are simply relabeled under Wolfgang). I have CSS pads as well but do not like them at all.
