This is a regular client of mine. Originally from Germany and a

    die-hard BMW guy.

The car was modded and tuned in Germany by Hamann/Schnitzer.

The doors , however , were done (poorly) here in the US.

After about 3 months of fouling up the door mechanisms ,

which still hasn`t been completed to satisfaction,

the dealership decided to reward his patience with an equally

unprofessional detail/rotary swirl and hologram job...free of charge!

    Lucky him.

Now this guy DRIVES this car. He wants it kept clean and presentable,

but doesn`t expect perfection. He understands that a hard driven , black

daily driver won`t keep perfect for long. Even with that in mind, he

was horrifically underwhelmed with the body shop`s freebie and told

me that it`s crap like that that reminds him why he`ll only bring his

baby to me. (A very personally rewarding comment).

The befores were taken two weeks ago before the initial detail...he was

pressed for time and I couldn`t capture the results at that time.

The afters were taken today following a maintenance wash and wax.

(He decided , against better advice , to wash it himself in the meantime

and inflicted some minor marring :angry . I properly chastised him

and he agreed to let me handle those duties on a weekly basis).

Even without his miscue, the car was only about 90-95% swirl free,

but definitely acceptable for a black DD.

    Process:

    Wash (CG Citrus)

    Clay

    Wash

OP w/ Green P2 via Rotex

RMG w/ Red LC via PC

    AW

Touched up today with CG 50/50

    Befores:

    Afters:

I know the afters don`t properly reflect the specific corrections made,but....:nixweiss

    Thanks for lookin`

Beautiful BMW! Personally, a big thumbs down on the ghetto doors, but the rest is fantastic!

    :nixweiss...that`s what I`m screamin.

He`s looking to further mod the car with a supercharger

with an eye toward possibly putting it on the track.

Regardless , he`s taken A LOT of crap from everyone

about the doors . He tries to play it off like it doesn`t bother him,

but we can tell by the beautiful shade of red that his

face turns that it`s eatin` him up. He confided in me today

that it was one of the dumber ideas that he`s ever followed up on.

Scott: you might be surprised at how easy these wheels are

to clean (at least I was). A Meg`s wheel-face brush works very nicely

on them. Besides that , I seal them regularly and I believe it goes a long way

    in helping with clean up.

    Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Very nice 645, and I actually quite like the doors, it`s pretty unique.
