Today I detailed a 2005 Mercedes Benz E 350 (30k miles) and tried a topper coat of Mothers Canubu Wax (non-cleaner pure wax) over my ole reliable #21 from Meguiars. I buffed the car our with Meg’s DACP (rotary) and followed with 3M Finesse -It (white pad & Rotary) Finishing Glaze then Buffed on #21(PC). After removing the #21 after about 1 hour, I top coated the #21 with a Caurubu Wax from Mothers I picked up at my local Pepboys. Paint looked really wet and I figured I take a few pics to share. Love my #21 shine and the Carnubu topper seemed to pick it up even a bit more.
Notice the orange peel in the last pic, compared to yesterdays Lexus LS 430. Unacceptable, IMO considering what a new Mercedes goes for these days. I am a Benz man at heart, but they really need to raise the level of the final finish of their cars.
