Apparently the owner didn`t realize that one of their sprinkler`s was broken and shooting water straight onto their hood. I`ve never seen/felt/tried to remove etching so bad, but here goes.

    Wash: Megs Hyper

    Clay: Megs Agressive

Tried OHC to no avail, went to Megs #4

    then OHC

    OP

    NXT/FK PW 50/50 mix

    After wash and clay:

    Hood:

    Tailgate:

    Masked:

    After OHC (X3):

After Megs #4, OHC, OP, NXT FK PW 50/50 Mix:

    Tailgate after:

    Afters:

How long did it take you to blue-tape all the trim?

Yikes! The waterspots were horrific! Excellent correction achieved though, and a fantastic finish! Brilliant work. :up

Nice turnaround! That paint was really nasty! Just a question, though... OHC was applied with a PC or rotary?

OMG what a nightmare, all that plastic. I would imagine the only thing worse to tape off must be an older Element or Avalanche. Anyway it took me a solid hour to mask. I never even thought about it before hand either, totally screwed myself. Oh well, live and learn.

Both actually. I started out trying everything with the PC, but it just wasn`t creating enough heat. Started out mild with the Rotary and moved up, then when I was happy with the removal of etching (and worried about how much clear was left) I went back to the PC with the OP, LSP.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

~edit~ if you are referring to that picture of half the hood taped off that says OHC (x3) that`s twice by PC and once by rotary in that picture. That`s before I went to the Megs compound.
