This one had light swirl marks that gave the paint a hazy look. I didn`t get any good pics of the paint before though.

I used Auto Magic BC-2(light cut) on a white pad and topped it off with Z2.

Can I create more mirror like finish on MB`s paint?

I don`t like the 2nd to the last picture.......

I used VM, EX-P and Natty`s Blue and it still looks like that

even though when you tilt your head at certain angle it looks like a mirror

What you are seeing in the second to last pic is orange peel, which affects the paint of most cars nowadays - one way to remove this is wet-sanding, though this is very extreme, will remove a significant amount of clear so most people choose to keep the factory applied orange peel effect.

Yeah I`m pretty suprised at the orange peel on most of the Mercedes and BMWs I`ve detailed. You would figure their paint would be flawless, but that`s not true in most cases.

Awesome finish there; again I didn`t think those wheels would turn out to be polished from the before picture!

ha i always thought orange peel means paints are peeling off (oxidized)

thx for clearing that up......yah I detailed my Acura and Toyota didn`t see much of orange peel effect; however MB has it all over the place....

oh well....still look great ...good work

Pretty much every car has it...go look at a new car someday!

I hear the orange peel is from the lack of time the paint has to actually cure before the car is sent outside.

Yep a PC on number 5. Working in the BC-2 leveler for around 3 minutes on about about a 1 x 4 foot section then wiped clean with a microfiber towel.
