My back hurts! Getting in and out was difficult to say the least and I`m young and not that tall. How the 6ft owner gets in and out is beyond me. Pretty easy little detail. Small car but it was very dirty to start with. This was the second time I have use Poli-seal and it is awesome. I`m very surprised that it can do the amount of correction it can and leave protection behind. I used Klasse AIO on clear bra parts because from what I have read you should not use a polish on clear bras. So I decided against using the Poli-seal on the clear bra part. Thank the car detailing gods for 4 inch pads that I used on the car due to all the different angles. I was playing around with my camera and decided to make a short movie of how well P21s gel works. I spray it on 3-4 sprays (for really dirty) then use a meguiars well brush and let it set for 30-60min. YouTube - P21s Gel

    Exterior:

    Pinnacle clay down pipe lube

    Optimum Poli-seal on paint

    AIO on clear bra

    Meguiars #26 Hi-tech paste

    Interior:

    Gold Class Aloe on leather

303 Aerospace Protectant on everything else

I sprayed down the lower parts of the car where the bugs had attacked with p21s total auto wash.

Typical of what the car looked liked all around.

    After the Poli-seal.

Sorry for the badish shoot. My camera really does not like halogen light and most of my interior shoot have a lot of noise.

    All done.

I did not get the chance to get any good pics out in the sun. By the time I was done it was raining. My only problem doing the car was that I could not find a good product to use on all the little vents. 303 did not do much in way of look nor did Sonus Tire dressing. The vents might be treated with something because no matter what I used they did not look much better. I ended up just using 303 which did the best job. Any thoughts on that?

Here is my daily driver. I did it over the weekend to test out the Poli-seal to see how it would work before doing the Lotus. I used basically the same stuff that I used on the Lotus on my car. I`m very happy with the results. I did not get any good sun pics but the clouds do look cool.

I put the winter wheels on about two weeks ago and now its 50 out. I`m sure that they are wearing well.

I came to a detailing epiphany today. After washing the car because it was covered in salt I pulled it out in the sun to take a look. There are still these swirl mark things that have a rainbowish color tint to them. You can only see them when really close to the paint. I have started to give up on the car. Its got 108,000 miles on it. I`m officially now going to live with a 5ft and not a 2 incher. Hope you like the pics.

VERY NICE! I did a Lotus Elise over the summer. Small car but the angles make it a PITA to detail. Future advice...if anyone details one. Make sure to tape the vents off. I made the mistake of not doing so and using Menzerna IP... Well, IP loves to dust and got on the plastic vents. Because of the vents material make up, the polishing dust particles took me 45 minutes to clean off all over the car. Here is a pic of one I did over the summer...not to steal your thead`s thunder!

Very nice. I took a look at your thread before doing this Lotus. I did not have to tape off becuase I only used Poli-seal which has no dust. But I can see where it would be a PITA to clean all those vents. Did you find a good product to use on the vents? Nothing I used seemed to give them much gloss.

Mr.Cool: A clear bra is just a plastic thing that goes around the bottom part of the car to protect it. Take a look at the pic with all the bugs in the front. If you look close you can see where the paint starts and the clear bra stops.

The Vents I believe are supposed to have a natural matte finish. They I think are made out of low gloss finish aluminum. I dont think the 303 or any others will do much.
