Awesome Job, and great writeup!! With the Zaino, apply it super thin, almost to the point where you can`t see it. Again sweet job!

Sorry to bring back a dead thread, wasn`t sure if I should start a new one on this or not..

My mom was/is very happy with it. but one comment she made was about the not so white wheel letters..

What have you guys used to make the wheel letters white again? In the past she has used softscrub on them without any problems, and I`m guessing the bleach made them white. But I would have a really hard time putting bleach on my car without multiple people saying it is okay.

    thanks!

If you want OTC, maybe Bleche White. However, if you are willing to shop online, go to TOL and order the Hi-Temp tire cleaner. Dilutes 1:1, is dirt cheap, works well, and doesn`t have any cheap bleach.

I use All Purpose Cleaner and a scrub brush - try Castrol Super Clean or Purple Power.
Once you buff black, you never go back

I used BonAmi (bars aid er whatever) on the tires with a scrub brush and that really didn`t do anything to make the letters whiter... would an APC work better?

I was really happy with the way Chemical Guys VRT performed. It got a lot of the marks on the vinyl out, and did a huge amount of work cleaning the running board that nothing else would touch.. do you think that would do any good on the tires as wheel if I scrubbed it in?

Can you apply the HT tire cleaner using something other than a sprayer? I really don`t want that oversprayed onto the wheel or the paint.. can you use an applicator pad? and are you sure it will make the letters white rather than brown?

    thanks!

EDIT: oh! just thought of something, would this also work as an engine degreaser? if so I`m sold

I haven`t used these for cleaning white letters on tires, but I *think* other members have had good results using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. They have so many other uses it wouldn`t hurt to pick some up.... they are pretty cheap and easy to find.
