I think the owner found me here. He just wanted a wash & wax (2 layers of fk1 #1000) to protect it from the coming winter. He told me before I saw the car that he has used aoi by hand a couple of months ago and just wanted the wax. No polishing.

The day I worked on the car I was only able to do the interior due to unexpected rain. 3 days later i went back to do the paint. It was dirty!

Of course I had to clean the paint, I couldn`t just wax it, so out came AIO on an orange propel pad. My only intention was to have a clean surface for #1000. To my surprise, it leveled the paint enough to remove all the swirls in the process!!!!

This is the second white subaru that I had detailed and the other one had behaved the same way. VERY EASY TO CORRECT.

I wish all paints were like this. I didn`t have my camera with me so the owner was kind enough to take some afters later that day.

this is an exchange (sort of) with my mechanic. His new trailer is next

He traded his Chevy SUV for this one.

I only had 4 hours or so, so I did what I could.

    did the usual interior work.

    car was washed clayed &:

ohc pc 6 orange propel pad

    cg`s extreme sealant

    ocw

wheels bumpers - tol`s grape dressing

didn`t have time to remove swirls or polish the wheels.

tdekany, one of these days I`m going to have to get you to spank up my Chevy truck. Do you have a shop or are you strictly mobile?

Love the before and after interior shots of the van! What brand/model steam cleaner do you use and what process? Is it easy and quick or time consuming? Thanks for the info, thinking about taking the plunge on a steam cleaner!

    Great job Thomas. :2thumbs:

Looks like CG is replacing your FK2180. How do you like it? I am going to be placing an order with CG in a few weeks and am wondering what to add to it.

Scott - I wish I had more time to make it swirl free. :waxing:

AZ - daimer pro plus 200s

fantastic mashine & overall it saves me time. I mean you can do so many cool things with it. Recommended.

John - Not replacing 2180, just seeing what it can do and want to see how durable it is. I will see these cars again.

    Tdekany,

How long does it take the Steamer to remove the stains, and how many Mf`s must you use to clean an entire interior? What is your process?

    Thanks again in advance

If you use an apc of some sort it helps to get it out faster. really depends on the car. Some very fast some are much faster than without a steamer still.

MF towels are used with the steamer to clean "leather". I use 1 per car, but I think once I used 2 because the seats were filthy. On cloth floor mats you use the brushes.

Process is the same as if you were to use a brush pretty much. takes about 10 minutes to warm the steamer. After that you go to town!
