Infiniti M35x 12k miles just finished - Lots of pics

Hey guys. This M35x has only 12k miles but I can`t believe how bad the paint was when I got the car. The owner never drives it through a car wash, instead a professional `detailer` comes and washes it for him once a week or once every other week. Knowing this I expected the paint in reasonably good condition, however once washed it was evident the paint was pretty swirled up, there was a THICK layer of contaminant all over the paint, and the inside was reasonably dirty. Before claying, if you slid your fingers across the paint you could hear a hissing type noise and it felt rough...what a difference just that step made. Oh well it came around, and I was able to get all the swirls out. Anyway here`s the process and some before/afters. Let me know what you think!



Paint:

1.Wash with Griot’s car wash shampoo

2.Clay entire car

3.Optimum Compound via rotary buffer at 1500rpm white LC VC pad

4.Optimum Polish via pc speed 5 polishing pad

5.AIO via PC speed 4 polishing pad

6. SG via pc speed 4 finishing pad

7.Final topper Pinnacle liquid Souveran



Wheels/Tires:

1.Cleaned with Griot’s wheel cleaner

2.Polished with Griot’s fine hand polish (trying to get rid of it)

3.Sealed with Megs

4.Meguiar’s Endurance



Exhaust Tips:

1.Nevr-Dull

2. Meguiar’s Quick Detail spray



Interior:

1.Vacuum

2.Clean and condition leather with Pinnacle leather products

3.Carpet shampooed and extracted

4.Stoner’s Invisible Glass

RTexasF - I`m sure I could have the maintenance/wash business, but I`m too busy with work (I detail as a hobby on the side) so unfortunately it`s going back to the butcher that swirled up his paint. It`s a bummer. Hopefully the guy`s not washing with dawn each time

I`m not sure what that color is called but I really like it too. I picked up the car 15 miles or so away so I got the chance to spend some time behind the wheel. I really like the reverse camera and back up assistant, the seats are also very comfortable. The ride is nice and it corners pretty well for a car it`s size. The engine however is pretty noisy, typical nissan sound to it. The steering ratio is also a little too quick for my tastes (kinda like a jag s-type/xtype) but I`m sure it`s something you get used to.



I finally got to speak with him this morning (the owner) and he seems to be very pleased!

I`m not sure I understand your question. I applied SG via pc and finishing pad just as you would any other LSP...of course with very thin layers as we know SG can be tough to remove otherwise..

Then, you put 3 drops, for example, of SG and you apply it via finishing PAD and PC, working the product. Then you leave the PC and buff the residue. I`m right?
