Well this is the first trailer I had ever done, and what a challenge it was!!! The client came ti me with this trailer that he was having an issue with. He had bought the trailer and removed the decals that were previously on it. He did an awesome job of removing the decals (and any adhesive), however, they had been on there for years and the paint had seen a lot of neglect. What was left was oxidation on the areas that WEREN`T covered with decals, and some pretty nasty industrial fallout.

So I took to it yesterday afternoon and finished this this morning around 9:30.

Also, the reason why I took the pics shooting down the side of the trailer is that you couldnt` see the outline of the decals otherwise. For some reason if you looked at the trailer straight on, you can`t see it, but it becomes very obvious when you look down the side of it like that. So that`s why all the shots are shown down the side.

    Process looked like so:

    -Dawn Wash

    -Clay in the bad spots

-Klasse AIO entire van (PC via Light Cutting Pad)

    -Klasse SG

Then I dressed the wheels and inner fenders and called it a day....

Total Time was about 8 hours.

BEFORE (you can see the issue I was having quite clearly in this pick

IN PROGRESS (you can see the area I`ve compelted compared to the half I havent`)

AFTER (sry it was cloudy this morning)

I removed the outline and oxidation and it looks exactly how it should! These trailers are A LOT of work though. It would be a lot of work to be doing anything more than 1 stepping it. I now have first had experience on just how much work these trailers can be :hairpull

Used it at speed 6 with a LC White Pad and some moderate pressure.

Wow, that`s like detailing a billboard sign by the highway. Came out really nice though.

Really nice work. I feel your pain. My son and I did 2 cargo vans and a camera boon truck for a TV station after they removed the old logos. Probably not a job I`d take again.

Wow, I`m really surprised by how well you turned that around using a PC. Did you polish the metal after?
