RSX vs. Mad Tite Horsepower

Owner got the car back from the dealer, and they had washed it with a broom. The marks in the paint were that bad, but were very deep, so they took as much work as a severly swirled vehicle would have gotten. Several passes later of XP Compound via rotary and high cut pad, I go all of them out. From what I could see I was able to remove just about everything, though the sun kept peaking behind the clouds, so I`m going by what I saw with my shop lights.

So, this RSX Type S isn`t just any type s. Its turbocharged, and its fast. Has traction issues in 3rd just to give you an idea. No clue on the details of it though, but the owner is a lurker on this site, so hopfully he`ll chime in and look at the pictures ect.

Anyways, process:

Exterior:

-Clay

-XP Compound via rotary cutting pad x3

-SSR 2.5 via cutting pad to remove micromarring (it cut through it very very quickly)

-SSR 1 just because

-Awsome Gloss added noticable depth to the finish

-Megs CW on rims

-Dress It Right on trim and tires

Interior:

Steam clean

Extract

Degrease

Dress

Engine bay:

Dealers Choice degreaser

Dress It Right (the header panel in seems to have discoloured or something. Dressing woudln`t get rid of the browness)

I`m assuming you used the rotory with all your steps? Any more info with what is under the hood of that beast would be great too :cooleek:

Actually, I just used the rotary on the first step. PC for the rest.

While delievering the car, at every shift the blow off valve was so loud that one woman in the car next to me jumped. :heelclick

Very fun car, but the stock tires on it don`t give much traction even under 1/4 throttle acceleration.

he`s still on the stock MXM4`s!?!?!?! those tires suck!!! i dumped those once i got some decent wear out of them, and i haven`t looked back. they pretty much suck at everything, from dry to rain to snow.

i have an rsx btw. is he on clubrsx?

traction issues in third doesn`t necessarily mean it has gobs of power in a front wheel drive car. it especially doesn`t make it fast but oh well....
