    First up, the Volvo S40.

This vehicle belongs to a classmate/friend of mine. I washed it a couple months ago and noticed it certainly needed a detail after winter. There was a fair share of swirling and a TON of bonded contaminants. I`m not sure how all of the grit latched on but I chewed through a third of a clay bar on the lower panels. When finished, the owner said to me "It looks ```king awesome"... My finals were:

    -Optimum No Rinse

-Zaino Z18 Clay with Poorboy`s S+W as lube

-Blackfire Ceramiclear Finishing Polish x 2 via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1200 rpm

    -Z6 wipedown

    -Zaino Z5 Pro (ZFX`d)

    -Zaino Z16 on tires x 2

-CG VRT cut 2.5:1 in wells

    Before

    After

    Before

    After

    Next up is the l0an3r.

As many of you know, I recently sold my Integra. After a longggggg search for a new car I ordered an Infiniti (no more details at this time ). The car will be here on Friday, so since last tuesday I have been driving this `02 I35. Since it would be going to client locations, I had to give it a onceover. I didn`t go crazy, but for a loaner car, I guess you could say I did . My finals were:

    -Optimum wash

    -Optimum clay

-Optimum car polish via rotary and LC polishing pad @ 1200 rpm

    -Optimum car wax x 2

    -Zaino Z16 on tires

-CG VRT cut 2.5:1 in wells

    Before

After (not going for perfection )

Next up is Liz`s `95 Pathfinder.

The truck is being sold this week. It has 113k on the clock and all OEM parts. This thing is truly a gem for it`s age. I washed it with Optimum, hit it with OCW, NXT Insane`d the tires/wells, steamed and vacuumed the interior, then an application of 303.

Last up, a Nissan Altima 2.5SL.

This car belongs to member: willroman. I detailed Will`s 626 last year and he recently sold it for this gem. The car was moderately swirled but the contaminant level was low. The vehicle was an absolutely pleasure to detail (one of my favorites) due to the lack of any hard to reach/buff areas. The paint also buffed like butter. My finals were:

    -Optimum Wash

-Zaino Z18 clay with optimum wash as lube

-Hi-Temp Extreme Cut/Optimum Polish (50/50) via rotary and LC Cutting Pad @ 1500 rpm

-Blackfire Ceramiclear Finishing Polish @ 1200 rpm

    -Z6 wipedown

    -Zaino Z5 Pro (ZFX`d)

    -Zaino Z16 on tires

-CG VRT cut 2.5:1 in wells

    Before

After (sun was soo dull, had to add flash)

Great job as always Shean :2thumbs: I am esp interestead in what you thought about the paint on the S40. I have a V50 silver metallic my self, about 16 months old now. Haven`t done anything but clay, AIO, NXT paste or UPP to it yet. Can`t see any marring in the paint even in direct sunlight. Is it hard or soft, easy to fix or not? I have a Cyclo, but I have only used it on other cars. Haven`t seen any reason to polish it yet.

Mark: I found Volvo paint to be notably tough to work with. It reminds me a lot like working with BMW paint. It takes a lot to remove heavy swirls, but still holograms easily. Rather than stepping in realy hard, I chose to take 2 passes with a light cut polish. The finishing pad was definately needed as the polishing was leaving light hazing. If you keep your car in nice shape, a bi/tri-annual light polish will suffice.

And for the rest of you vultures, you will see, soon enough, what I bought .

Whoa!!!! That Volvo is incredible!! No kidding, that`s some of the best paintwork I`ve seen, anywhere. Perfect relections, depth, everything. Absolutely stunning! That Z5PRO is looking brilliant. Oh, the rest ain`t too shabby either...

P.S. BTW, you should send some of those Z5PRO shots to Sal. I`m sure he`d be very impressed and might even use them on the website.
