I was amazed at the complete lack of swirls on this car. It hasnt even been washed in 2 months and when it is, its just taken to some generic car wash. I dont know if it is the color, paint, or a little bit of both, but neither in sunlight or halogen lighting could I detect any swirling. I did find the occassional scratches, but thats it. It was kind of nice to not have to do the full swirl removal for once though.

After claying, the car felt much better. My clay was picking up so much crap from the paint. I could hear it grinding away and had to constantly mash it up to get a clean side. OVerall, it came out great, but the pictures I took came out pretty bad.

    Process Used:

    Wash

    CLay

Polish with optimum polish on polishing pad (PC)

remove polish with fk1 425 (worked out great)

seal with fk1 fx-100 (also used on wheels)

    Interior:

    vacuum

    pb`s natural look

    lexol leather cleaner and conditioner

BTW, I was really impressed with fk1. THe sealant I just got as a sample with the 425 I ordered. It came in a little spray bottle and was very easy to apply and remove. If the durability is good, I may have found a new sealant.

    Excellent looking detail.

Jaguars have some pretty good paint, I`ve done a few S Types with just terrific paint. Real high gloss, low orange peel and very swirl resistant. Makes them a real pleasure to detail.

The customer left the car with me overnight and I had a no show today, so I decided to throw another coat of fk1 fx-100 sealant on. I dont think it made much difference vissually, but I hope it will add some durability. I think I may have found a new sealant. I really like how you can just spray this stuff on. The paint sure did feel great after I was done. When she came to pick it up her reaction was, "Wow! It has never looked this good!"
