Detailed this Volvo on Saturday, my task was to bring it back to life.

The paint had severe buffer swirls in it from another shop (won’t name names) that needed to be removed. The interior also needed a bit of freshening up. J

For the paint the process was:

    Wash

Clay with Meguiars aggressive clay bar

Apply optimum compound with a polishing pad via rotary polisher with a polishing @1400 RPM’s

Apply Meguiars #80 speed glaze with the porter cable 7424 with a polishing pad on speed 5

Apply two thin coats of Meguiars #21 polymer sealant

Tires were dressed with Meguiars high endurance (original formula)

Glass cleaned with NXT glass cleaner

For the interior the process was:

    Thoroughly vacuum

Clean carpets with Costco APC 10:1, extract with hot water using LGCM.

I then used the APC and a small brush to detail every crack and crevice. I alos used a steamer (the Costco one) to blast out the grime on the door panels.

I dressed the leather with Lexol

    The engine was:

    Degreased with a citrus-based degreaser

Agitated with old mitts and an assortment of brushes

    Pressure washed

Blown dry, then dress with eagle one pro water based dressing cut 1:1.

Before on the paint, is this a buffer swirl? LOL

    Before on the engine:

Now for the afters—the sun peaked through for about two minutes and these are close as I could get to full sun shots. The detail took around 7.5 hours to complete.
