    Background........

I detail cars on the weekends and work an 8-5 job. I have no time for any of my cars. Finally....this weekend I had all the time I needed for my baby, (the others are going to have to wait). It took me both saturday and sunday. Saturday I was doing the car in between getting lunch for my girlfriend, and running to the store for my Mom. I worked on the car for two hours on sunday and then spent the rest of the day with my daughter and girlfriend.

My father bought me this car in 1996. This was supposed to be our project car. He passed away in 1998 and I felt like I was doing what he wanted me to do with the car. I raced the car for years on Guam`s backroad (our dragstrip was recently built). Rock chips, and jungle scratches (hiding ffom the cops) are all over the car. Through all this the car only has 38,000 miles. The reason for the low miles is that I hardly drive the car, and I am always breaking something. I got the car running this past september. The car was on jack stands for two years.

When my Daughter was born, I finally saw the light. This car will be in my family for along time. It`s not a cobra or a rare mustang, but I decided to take care of this car and give this car to my daughter (with a 3000rpm rev limit).

Hey mystikid, that`s a sick car in your avatar, do you have one of those yourself? I happen to be a proud cl owner myself and i absolutely love the car. Sorry for the brief hi-jack. Nice work on the mustang, your daughter will be lucky to have a car like that. I take it from your post that she`s not even 16 yet so the rev limiter might not be a bad idea. I was impressed by the finish after using the meg`s, was it really bad before you started.

Nice job on the `stang! Is the #21 the stuff in the squeeze bottle? Also, I think that`s really great that the car will become a family heirloom.

It`s called Thistle pearl. I believe it was offered for one or two years.

I have a set of heads, cams, and intake sitting in the living room but I wanna drive it around before I have to tear into it again. We do not have a dyno so there is no way to tune the car also.

Buy a user adjustable programmer and a wide band O2 sensor/meter/gauge, and tune it yourself. You can usually mail order a programmer of some kind with a base tune that should be very close to what you need by just telling them what you have, and then you can fine tune it once it`s in your car. With your setup, you`re looking at gaining at *least* 75 SAFE hp with the proper tune.

    Great detail btw. :xyxthumbs
