OK, this was the first time I`d used a RAO/PC, a Hitachi FSV13Y. I`m not sure if its my technique or just the paint, but I couldn`t get a lot of the swirls out of the paint. Plus its getting pretty thin in parts so I don`t want to push it. :nervous:

    Anyway, here`s what I did:

    Eagle One Wet Wash

    Meguiars Quik Clay

    Wash again

    SSR2.5 w/ Meguiar`s W8006

    SSR1 w/ Meguiar`s W8006

Autoglym SRP by hand MF applicator

2x Meguiar`s NXT Tech Wax by foam applicator

Looked good at night after this

Planning on doing a coat or two of Meguiar`s #26 next wash.

I`ll try and get some pics in the sun, but the weather has gone pretty crazy down here.

    Nice reflections

    Getting dark

    The moneyshot

Pretty gutsy using a rotary for the first time on 18-year-old paint! You are probably better off not trying to get every last swirl out of paint that old anyway. How does it look in the sun now? Looks pretty darn good in the shade.

Sorry, not a rotary, Random Action Orbital. A PC, but not I`ll try and get some pics in the sun. It was 42*C (about 108*F) the day after I detailed, I didn`t want to go outside.. And then it rained.. :furious:

I thought you had a typo on this---It`s an ACURA INTEGRA here in the States. I had the exact version (year) in burgendy several years ago. Great little car, but rust started to take its tole on the rear fenders and rockers.

    Yours looks GREAT!

Very vibrant red. I can imagine what it looked like before.

#26 is a nice choice for that color to top NXT.

OK, I went out and got a few pics in the sun. As you can see, there are a few swirls in the paint. And its dirty again I don`t think I`ll be doing anything drastic to this, as I don`t know what has been done to the car before I bought it 2 years ago. Possibly just a filler glaze for the time being.

And yes, I know I haven`t done tyre and trim dressing

    :woot2: That brings back memories................

I had an 88 during high school. 4 of us learned how to drive stick in it. My cousin still has the car to this day but she`s rusty now. Yours looks great
