Re: a LAZY evening in FL

Congrats. QS has a weekly event if you interested. It`s been awhile, but it is on either Wednesday or Thursday nights. Also, if your interested, there is a cars n coffee every third Saturday at Dupont (Clearwater/Pinellas Park) off of Ulmerton. This one has some very high $$$ cars. Just wish it didn`t start so early.

hey al, it was the green 2014 vette parked next to ron`s. the guy was constantly wiping it down with a dollar microfiber and some cheap spray wax/detailer and telling everyone what a car guy he was. he was really pissed when ron won, but oh well.

Seriously though, he bought a green car. What did he expect?

The picture of the Red Belvedere brought back fond memories. I used to have a customer that brought one just like that in for me to "performance tune" (his words) a couple of times a year. A 65 as I remember. He always wanted both carbs rebuilt (2 carb. kits) along with the tune, new points (2 sets), plugs, filters (2). This was pretty expensive given the era.

Tried as I might I couldn`t talk him out of this practice. The car would always heat up the street when it left but it would have even if I hadn`t gone through the carbs. He probably didn`t put 5,000 miles a year on it and it never really had any problems to speak of, just a good runnin` Hemi. He just felt the need to treat his baby very special and he did.

    Nice trophy, Ron.

Yes the dude next to Ron`s C7 was going downtown with wiping down the car in direct sun light with a surface temp of maybe 130 or more! and couldn`t stop talking about the product and towel he was using. One can see the finish with smears of QD and cheap towel in play. I just was there to support Ron and his C7 which best shine of all there. Thank you Ron for having me there and TY Cquartz UK for the shine and protection his C7 got when we detail it a few months ago.

BTW, I told Ron we are going to go over the C7 again during the winter months and remove some small swirl marks I saw on it. This time this baby is going to make Flash Gordon cry with sunglasses on!

yeah, I think this is the longest ron has left anything on his paint without stripping it and trying something else or over coating it. I`ve got to admit the cquartz uk turned out very nice though. after the rain at the show, the water was just streaming off that very slick finish and very tight beading.
it`ll be fun to see it jeweled out to the max.
