For the record, I actually knew most of this, but google helped a bit with the exact year of their first production vehicle(I knew it was mid 80`s).
Like I said, I knew it wasn`t a Ferrari or a Ford , I was just seeing if you guys knew your stuff.

BTW, thanks for pointing out my ignorance about Saleens, you are both fired.

I thought we were about education here.

I didn`t know much about cars until about 6 years ago. I can`t tell you how much money I`ve dumped into car magazines in the last 6 years though.

    BTW, nice ninja edit.

Back in it`s day(late 80`s), it was a beast, but with the amazing top speed of the Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg CCR, and McLeron F1, all with top speed of at least 240 mph, the F40 seems a bit slow in comparison at 201 mph. This vehicle was built with nothing other than function in mind. It is what the definition of a supercar should be.

201mph, that`s it? They might as well glue a turtle shell to the roof.

In comparison, 201 mph is a lot slower than 253 mph. Just imagine getting passed by someone doing 120+ mph while you`re only doing 70 mph.

Don`t forget about that beautiful McLaren SLR. That car has to be one of the best sounding things ever made. Supercharged V8 puts out over 600 horses.
