Never had one of these myself but a friend did and while they were really kinda slow, they were still near the top of the heap in the high school parking lot! Snowflake wheels with the polished lip...

Yeah, those droop-snoot ones with the 403 were dogs, you needed a `77 or `78 with the 400 T/A engine.

Has it been restored or original? It’s in great shape…

Nope, the AMC Pacer it was! Goofy, but oddly fun car; could turn off the ignition while driving, wait a minute, turn ignition back on and it would backfire loudly out of the tailpipe. Was great fun...right up until it blew the internals outta the muffler. "Gee, I dunno Dad...all of a sudden it just got really loud...I have no idea why". Hot as all an oven in the Summer with all of that glass and no A/C (no radio for that matter either...bare-bones car). Was my second hand-me-down American Motors classic, the first being an awesome 1973 Hornet Sportabout (hey, at least it had `Sport` in the name):

Maybe a bit of both, I think. Very low mileage... Probably been refreshed over the years here and there.

Would be fun to own something like this for sure...call me crazy but would rather have this on my list of "I won the Lotto" cars than some Italian `supercar`... I guess I just don`t get those things. Nice and all I suppose, just not for me.

Ha, I had a friend who had to share a Gremlin.

Gremlin = Cooler than a Pacer or Sportabout

No fair! What was the point of me keeping that sticker on my car all those years, if the junkyard guy could just buy a new one??

It would fit in perfectly And it looks absolutely amazing now, so I think the owner would be happy with the results there showing it.
