Over the weekend was our annual car show for our Z Club. There were at 59 cars at the car show raning from the first Z`s and of course th 350Z`s. I entered my car in the stock category and got her all prettied up (like she needed it). I only placed 3rd after the Leman`s Sunset Z and a Red Roadster. No big deal because I still had a great time. The comments that I recieved about the appearance of my car was enough for me. I think everyone that voted for my car because it was the cleanest car out there. People were just amazed on how clean she was including the engine bay. I told my GF that my engine bay was probably cleaner than most cars out there. :p

To prepare for it I washed and dried her then followed it with a coat of AIO by hand and removed it by hand. She sat under a covered parking over night then I dusted and QD the following day theyn applied another coat of AIO and a coat of NXT. At the car show I dusted her again and QD and followed it with NXT Spray wax. The result was simply AMAZING. There were two other blue Z`s there and she certainly looked a whole lot beter than the two. Can`t wait for the next car show.

    Here are some pictures.

    Congratulations on the award! :xyxthumbs

I agree, the car looks sweet, especially detailed like yours. I know how hard engines can be. I bet people were amazed!

I gotta agree. While a bra is helpful in preventing chips and avoiding bug damage, it sure does ruin the nice clean lines of that car. So lose it for the show.

Good job on the detailing and the show. :up

    Thanks for everyone`s comment`s.

I actually preffered to have the bra on for the show. I don`t think that it ruins the lines of the car at all. On some cars I would agree that a bra will do that, I don`t think so in this case. I recieved many compliments on having that bra on there. Besides one thing that I did do was detail the bra itself. Typically when you see it on other cars, it`s dull looking while the car might not be. It had a shimmer to it just like the rest of car so it complimented it in a way. Besides I wanted my Daytona Blue to be a little diffent than THREE other DB Z`s. (There were 3 other`s instead of 2)

Here we are after touring the Nissan plant using our cars to spell out a Z so a helicopter can take an aerial picture.
